Performance Analyst

About the Role:
As a key member of the Performance Measurement, Analytics and Reporting (PMAR) organization at Invesco, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive business intelligence to help the company understand its fund results relative to peers and indexes.
Your primary responsibility will be to support the day-to-day needs of the business and drive the team forward by contributing to ongoing strategic projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities to streamline existing business processes by automating recurring and ad-hoc analyses into stable, repeatable reports, metrics, and dashboards.
- Leverage automated tools to efficiently source, cleanse, merge data, and calculate analytics.
- Use statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret anomalies and patterns in complex data sets that could be helpful for the diagnosis and resolution of trends and troubleshoot issues.
- Build, maintain, and enhance accurate interactive dashboards and static reports that are easily absorbed by colleagues with varying data literacy to empower decision-making.
- Evaluate output to ensure it meets stakeholder requirements and summarizes key findings.
- Build and maintain local data models as needed while partnering with Technology engineers to transition to firm-wide data repositories as processes become mature.
- Support projects to test and reconcile statistics in data repositories, having a clear understanding of requirements, legacy/future methodologies, and reconcile to source system.
- Identify and recommend potential enhancements.
- Advise on the latest data tools and techniques and new features available in the latest releases of the tools currently used.
Requirements:
- A BS and/or MS in areas such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Science, or similar.
- Or at least 4 years' worth of work experience in analyzing data.
- Strong exposure to analyzing large quantities and varieties of data.
- Intermediate knowledge of a no-code data analysis tool such as Alteryx or a programming language for data analysis like SQL, Python, SAS, or R.
- Data visualization experience using Power BI, Tableau, or any other visualization tool is an advantage.
- Experience partnering with IT engineers to design data repositories and pipelines is desirable.
- Able to generate innovative ideas with a passion for identifying and implementing sound and pragmatic solutions.
- Strong diplomacy skills to foster positive relationships with cross-functional and cross-regional project teams both in-person and remotely.
- A high degree of curiosity and a desire to learn, including taking on results-oriented new assignments.
