Clinical Charge Master Specialist

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for building and maintaining an accurate and complete Charge-master to ensure appropriate submission, reimbursement and compliance as related to governmental billing regulations across any Mercy or Mercy maintained facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to standardize the Charge Master across all facilities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical and revenue teams to ensure accurate and complete Charge Master data.
- Work closely with the EPIC project team to implement and maintain the Charge Master system.
- Provide training and support to users on the Charge Master system.
- Ensure compliance with governmental billing regulations and maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
- Significant experience in coding and Charge Master knowledge at an acute care hospital.
- Experience working with Fiscal Intermediary requirements and ability to obtain working knowledge of all FI's utilized across Mercy entities.
- Three to five years health care experience.
- Bachelor's degree or comparable work experience with emphasis in Health Information Management, Finance, Nursing or related field.
- EPIC certification required within 2 years of hire date.
