Job Description

Rónk Systems Corporation is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our naval sales operations team and drive business growth in the US Navy and US Coast Guard markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement business acquisition strategies aligned with Rónk's objectives.
  • Lead capture efforts to respond to Government Sources Sought, Requests for Information/Proposal.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key customer decision makers based on value, knowledge, trust, and character.
  • Develop and lead campaigns to secure Rónk's naval ambitions in the US.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their most urgent needs and develop pursuit strategies to address the need.
  • Seek opportunities to participate and support networking opportunities at key Navy business centers.
  • Develop and maintain a high-level understanding of national market, client, and technology trends and advancements.
  • Maintain competitive intelligence and market information on marine propulsion technologies, vessel designs, and other aspects of the marine industry.
  • Attend industry events, research industry trends, and communicate critical information on market trends back to the Rónk management and the RENK Group team.
  • Meet order intake targets defined by the Rónk Managing Director and M&I Division Leadership.
  • Maintain close working relationships with other corporate areas: Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Finance within Rónk and with RENK Group in Germany.
  • Prepare and present formal presentations to end users and customers.
Requirements
  • A strong passion and interest in naval propulsion systems.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter able to communicate effectively with all levels of customers, coworkers, and senior executive management.
  • Tenacious drive for results within a solutions mindset that seeks to deeply understand the customer and customer needs and apply innovative thinking to solve problems and capture opportunities.
  • Ability to forge teams, partnerships, and alliances to win acquisitions.
  • Ability to quickly acquire knowledge of Rónk Group products, services, and applications.
  • Possess interpersonal communications skills (Verbal and written).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple accounts at one time.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
Experience/ Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years prior related experience or Master's Degree and a minimum of 6 years prior related experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in business development within the naval or maritime industry with demonstrated performance winning new business.
  • Must have existing relationship with defense industry and US Navy and/or US Coast Guard acquisition personnel.
  • Deep customer knowledge and familiarity of the market environment.
  • Prior U.S. Navy or U.S. Coast officer career strongly preferred, but not required.
  • Prior naval industry experience required.
  • Proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Windows based PC tools.
