Job Summary
The Maintenance Director will oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our residents. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance and Repairs: Oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment, buildings, and grounds, ensuring all facilities are in good working condition.
- Grounds Maintenance: Maintain the exterior of the building, including landscaping, outdoor repairs, and lawn maintenance.
- Interior Maintenance: Clean and maintain all areas inside the building, including offices and common areas.
- Work Orders: Track and respond to all work orders in a timely fashion, ensuring prompt resolution of maintenance issues.
- Staff Training: Train staff on day-to-day operations, emergency procedures, and maintenance protocols.
- Preventative Maintenance: Schedule and perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment and facilities are in good working condition.
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies outside of normal working hours as needed.
Requirements
- Education: One year certificate from college or trade/technical school; or a minimum of 3 years related general maintenance experience and/or training.
- Skills: Two years of supervisory experience preferred, extensive knowledge of building systems, strong leadership skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Physical Demands
The Maintenance Director will be required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle and feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. Occasional requirements for crouching and lifting items weighing up to 50lbs may be necessary.
