Park Avenue Center is a leading provider of culturally-specific chemical dependency care in Minneapolis. We are seeking a skilled Intake Specialist to join our team of professionals who empower individuals to improve their lives.


The successful candidate will work with our Client Access Team to provide quality assistance to clients in the Chemical Health Intake process. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform facility intake duties with a focus on quality and efficiency
  • Provide support and intervention in crisis situations, adhering to strict code of ethics
  • Maintain all required correspondence with external partners, including Hennepin County review team and treatment facilities
  • Complete funding approvals to support referral recommendations as necessary
  • Attend Hennepin County assessor meetings on a monthly basis

Requirements:

  • Must be a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or be able to obtain an Alcohol and Drug Counselor Temporary permit (ADC-T)
  • Must obtain and maintain required continuing education units and training
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Preferred qualifications include knowledge of MN Statute Chapter 245G and licensing, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and electronic medical record systems.

Work Environment:


The Intake Specialist works in a substance abuse co-occurring disorders treatment facility with clients who may have chemical dependency, mental health diagnoses, and/or emotional instability.


Job Type: Full-time, benefit eligible, Monday - Friday days with flex/hybrid scheduling possible.


Pay: $50, $57,000.00 per year DOQ.
