Job Summary

The Survey Crew Chief is a key member of our team, responsible for overseeing the planning, organization, and direction of survey teams. This role requires strong leadership and technical skills to ensure the successful completion of civil engineering, construction, and general surveying projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Plan, organize, and direct the work of one or more survey teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Field Operations: Oversee the execution of field work, including topographic, ALTA, boundary, Right of Way, and construction staking.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate various survey equipment, such as GPA and Robotic Total Station, to collect and process field data.
  • Data Analysis: Perform staking calculations and accurately process field data to ensure project deliverables meet client expectations.
  • Team Management: Lead and motivate survey team members to achieve project goals, promote a culture of safety, and foster open communication.
  • Client Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in field surveying.
  • Skills: Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and possess good organizational and communication skills.
  • Certifications: Valid driver's license with a driving record approved by our insurance provider.
