Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist to join our Cardiovascular Operating Room team at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of surgical procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring the proper handling of instruments and equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination during procedures, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest surgical techniques, technologies, and best practices.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in surgical technology or a related field preferred.
  • At least six months of experience in a surgical specialty or two years of surgical technician experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
