WSP is currently seeking a Railway Signal Systems Engineer for our NY/NJ office.
Your Contributions
  • Design, supervision, and management of diverse railway signal initiatives
  • Capability to liaise with clients and railway project collaborators
  • Technical planning, design, and evaluation of railway signal infrastructure
  • Thorough understanding of North American standards for project execution
  • Assist in the formulation and execution of site Health and Safety Plans (HASPs).
  • Collaborate effectively with other engineers, planners, scientific experts, and infrastructure authorities on federally, state, regionally, and locally funded enhancement and development projects.
  • Demonstrate responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company resources and conduct, adhering to WSP's Code of Conduct and associated policies and procedures.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as dictated by business requirements.
Who You Are
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a closely related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of pertinent post-educational experience in engineering and prior experience in transit and rail.
  • Engineer in Training Certification.
  • Experience with both private and public transportation projects.
  • Experience with railway and rail transit signaling initiatives.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
  • Occasional travel may be necessary based on project-specific needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to uphold workplace safety and comply with WSP's health, safety, and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Engineering.
  • Relevant Professional Licensure/Certification.
  • Design and construction experience with transit and railway signaling for train control and grade crossings.
  • Professional engineer license.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Compensation
Expected Salary (all locations): $87,700 - $140,400
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
