WSP is currently seeking a Rail Signal Engineer for our operations.

Your Contributions
  • Lead the design, supervision, and execution of diverse rail signal initiatives.
  • Coordinate effectively with clients and rail project collaborators.
  • Conduct technical planning, design, and evaluation of rail signal systems.
  • Possess a robust understanding of North American standards for project execution.
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of site Health and Safety Plans (HASPs).
  • Collaborate with fellow engineers, planners, scientific experts, and infrastructure authorities on federally, state, regionally, and locally funded enhancement and development projects.
  • Demonstrate responsible and ethical decision-making concerning company resources and conduct, adhering to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as necessitated by business requirements.
Who You Are
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a closely related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of pertinent post-educational experience in engineering, with prior experience in transit and rail.
  • Engineer in Training Certification.
  • Experience with both private and public transportation projects.
  • Familiarity with railroad and rail transit signaling initiatives.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally based on project-specific needs.
  • Exhibit responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company resources and conduct, adhering to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and compliance with WSP's health, safety, and drug/alcohol policies.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Engineering.
  • Relevant Professional Licensure/Certification.
  • Experience in design and construction related to transit and railroad signaling for train control and grade crossings.
  • Professional engineer license.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.

Compensation
Expected Salary Range: $87,700 - $140,400
WSP USA provides this compensation range based on the belief that it reflects the potential pay for this position, contingent upon the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and specific geographic considerations. WSP USA reserves the right to adjust compensation based on factors unrelated to an applicant's protected status.
