We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team at The Mind Research Network. The successful candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology, virology, and research methodology.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct independent research in the field of influenza virus-host interactions, with a focus on alternative RNA splicing.
- Develop and implement novel research methods to identify biological mechanisms of virus control.
- Collaborate with research teams and outside collaborators to advance our understanding of virus-host interactions.
- Develop proposals for research funding and present research data at conferences and workshops.
- Analyze and interpret a variety of data, including long read RNA sequencing data.
- Ph.D. or M.D. in a directly related field.
- Proven record of peer-reviewed publications, including demonstrated first-authorship success.
- Experience working as part of a large research team and success performing independent research projects.
- Superior professional-level verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
The successful candidate will work in a wet laboratory environment, operating standard laboratory equipment and wearing personal protective equipment as required. The position may involve working with or being in areas where hazardous materials and/or infectious agents are present, which may require vaccinations.
