Job Summary

Growth Works Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Peer Recovery Coach to join our team. As a Peer Recovery Coach, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals struggling with substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Peer Support Services: Offer one-on-one support and guidance to clients, helping them to develop and maintain a recovery plan.
  • Link Clients to Resources: Connect clients with local treatment centers, support groups, and other community resources to aid in their recovery.
  • Collaborate with Community Partners: Work closely with hospitals, courts, law enforcement agencies, and other community organizations to provide support and services to clients.
  • Engage in Community Outreach: Participate in public forums, educational events, and other community outreach activities to promote recovery and reduce stigma.
  • Document Client Services: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client services, including direct services and collateral contacts.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification: Eligible for or holds Certified Peer Recovery Coach Certification (CPRC) with MDHHS.
  • Recovery Experience: In recovery from a substance use disorder for at least 24 months.
  • Background Checks: Ability to pass agency required background checks, drug tests, and other employment-related screenings.
  • Transportation: Possession of a valid driver's license and a vehicle.
Physical Requirements
  • Manual Tasks: Ability to complete manual tasks involving dexterity to enter and retrieve data using computer systems, systems applications, and other office equipment.
  • Lifting and Transporting: Ability to lift and transport materials/supplies up to 25 lbs. for internal documentation and recordkeeping, court support, and other administrative tasks.
