Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Select Medical's Critical Illness Recovery Hospital. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and promoting healing and recovery in a compassionate environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive evaluations of communication skills and/or swallowing function and develop goal-oriented treatment plans to facilitate maximum communication and/or swallowing potential.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide quality patient programming and participate in peer review for staff performance and appraisals.
  • Assist in the development of the SLP role in programs and services, as well as revising departmental policies and procedures.
  • Exhibit a willingness to share professional knowledge and experience, and alert the Manager to educational needs.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from a program satisfying the American Speech/Language/Hearing Association's academic and practicum requirements for the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
  • Valid license issued by the State in which they are practicing.
  • Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
