The Product Manager plays a crucial role in shaping and executing the Product strategy at Freedom Mortgage. This position collaborates closely with executive leadership to identify and propose essential features and functionalities that drive value, are data-driven, and contribute to the overall success of the organization. The role emphasizes fostering strong cross-functional teamwork to ensure timely delivery of product improvements using agile methodologies, ultimately enhancing the experiences of both customers and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and communicate the Minimum Viable Product (MVP), pinpointing the essential elements necessary to meet business goals.
- Develop, manage, and prioritize the Agile team's backlog by evaluating business and customer value.
- Challenge existing processes to discover innovative solutions and encourage creative thinking.
- Possess a strong understanding of business process management and automation, ensuring continuity in business operations.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project teams on milestones and provide updates to management and stakeholders.
- Demonstrate strategic thinking for the overall product roadmap while maintaining a hands-on approach to detail.
- Lead the development of technical documentation and training materials to facilitate product adoption.
- Translate product requirements into actionable design and engineering tasks for agile execution.
- Establish clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of various initiatives and monitor them throughout the product lifecycle.
- Oversee user acceptance testing to ensure alignment between customer-facing products and the defined vision and requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with engineering, design, finance, and compliance teams to plan and execute initiatives.
- Gather customer feedback throughout the product development process.
- Work with other Product Owners and Managers to manage dependencies across teams.
- Create efficient methods for prioritizing initiatives and developing product requirements based on business and customer needs.
- Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.

Undertake other related tasks as assigned.

This position includes direct reports.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to effectively prioritize initiatives, promote interdepartmental collaboration, and drive projects to completion with accountability.
- A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in Business Analysis, Product Management, or related areas.
- At least six (6) years of experience in Product Management.
- Previous experience in Mortgage Banking or related industries is highly desirable.
