Production Test Specialist

VadaTech Inc. is a world leader in the design and manufacture of embedded computing solutions. We are seeking a skilled Production Test Technician to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
As a Production Test Technician, you will be responsible for performing ATP testing and ESS testing in our Environmental Test Laboratory. Your duties will include:
- Performing functional tests of company board and system level products
- Testing and troubleshooting board failures as required
- Assisting engineering on prototype testing
- Providing detailed symptom descriptions for failures uncovered during functional test to assist in component-level troubleshooting
- Adhering to Manufacturing Process instructions or other established procedures during the manufacturing process to produce a quality product
- Following all applicable work instructions to perform testing and repair processes
- Taking initiative to identify problems and their root causes as well as participating in implementing solutions
- Discussing problems (technical and process) encountered while testing/troubleshooting with supervisor and engineering staff and recommending solutions to improve work efficiency
- Escalating product and process issues to management and helping with problem resolution
- Following all corporate, safety and production procedures and regulations and maintaining a clean and orderly workstation
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum electronics certification from an accredited two-year technical or four-year Engineering school
- Minimum two (2) years of experience as an electronics technician in a manufacturing test environment
- Troubleshooting, identification of electronic and mechanical failure modes
- Using test instruments like Multimeter, Oscilloscope, Power Supplies, etc.
- Basic Networking knowledge required
- Reading and understanding schematics, datasheets and written work instructions
- Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others in the workplace
- Fluent domain of the English language: Ability to read, write and speak English well
- Ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions
