Role Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist responsible for executing a range of diagnostic imaging techniques utilizing radioactive substances to assist in identifying and managing various health conditions. Your skills will play a vital role in enhancing patient care and supporting advancements in medical technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients, adhering to established safety protocols.
  • Operate advanced imaging devices such as gamma cameras and PET scanners to obtain images of internal anatomy.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to establish suitable imaging procedures based on patient medical histories.
  • Position patients comfortably to ensure high-quality imaging results.
  • Monitor patients throughout the imaging process to manage any discomfort or adverse reactions.
  • Evaluate images and data for clarity and precision, preparing them for review by radiologists or physicians.
  • Maintain comprehensive patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality assurance standards.
  • Safely dispose of and manage radioactive materials while following radiation safety guidelines.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and quality control on imaging equipment, addressing any technical issues as they arise.

Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related discipline.
  • Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) is mandatory.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with radiopharmaceuticals, radiation safety, and imaging methodologies.
  • Proficient in operating imaging technology including gamma cameras, SPECT, and PET scanners.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities for precise image assessment.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and adapt to dynamic situations while maintaining professionalism.
