Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Three Crosses Regional Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing complex medical imaging procedures and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and interpret nuclear medicine procedures, including positron emission tomography (PET) and single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) scans.
  • Prepare and administer radioactive drugs to patients, ensuring accurate dosing and minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Operate and maintain complex medical imaging equipment, including PET and SPECT scanners.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of medical imaging results.
Requirements
  • Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Graduate of an approved nuclear medicine program.
  • At least three years of experience in nuclear medicine or a related field.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Preferred: experience as a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO).
