Nuclear Medicine Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Three Crosses Regional Hospital. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to our hospital's mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services.
About the RoleThis is a full-time opportunity for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to work in a dynamic and patient-centered environment. You will be responsible for performing procedures, obtaining images, and ensuring patient safety and well-being. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining high-quality patient care and contributing to our hospital's commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities- Perform procedures as ordered and obtain images according to written protocols, ensuring patient procedure and supply charges are accurate.
- Assist patients on/off exam tables and from wheelchairs or stretchers as needed, obtaining and recording accurate patient history.
- Clean and monitor equipment, reporting any issues to Bio-Med or Manager.
- Perform and document quality control on equipment according to manufacturer guidelines or department protocols, recognizing and taking appropriate action for abnormal results.
- Maintain yearly competency, mandatory education, professional certification, state licensure, and education requirements.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment with all necessary supplies needed to perform studies and procedures in exam rooms.
- Receive, handle, store, prepare, and administer radio pharmaceuticals to patients according to prescribed doses or protocols and in compliance with QMP.
- Apply knowledge of department QMP, NRC, and State rules, and radiation safety principles to ensure patient and staff safety for radiation protection, achieving radiation exposure ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) for patients, self, and others.
- Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and state certification, as applicable.
- Must be a graduate of an approved nuclear medicine program.
- Three or more years of related experience.
- Current BLS.
- RSO experience preferred.
