About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technician to join our team at Three Crosses Regional Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to a culture of excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform imaging procedures and obtain images according to written protocols, ensuring accurate patient history and correct procedure and supply charges.
  • Assist patients on and off exam tables, wheelchairs, or stretchers as needed, and maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Clean and monitor equipment, reporting any issues to Bio-Med or Manager, and perform quality control on equipment according to manufacturer guidelines or department protocols.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment, with all necessary supplies, to perform studies and procedures in exam rooms.
  • Receive, handle, store, prepare, and administer radio pharmaceuticals to patients according to prescribed doses or protocols, in compliance with QMP.
  • Apply knowledge of department QMP, NRC, and State rules, and radiation safety principles to ensure patient and staff safety for radiation protection, achieving ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) for patients, self, and others.
Requirements
  • Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and state certification, as applicable.
  • Graduate of an approved nuclear medicine program.
  • Three or more years of related experience.
  • Current BLS.
  • RSO experience preferred.
