Certified Alpine Ski Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Alpine Ski Instructor to join our team at Grand Targhee Resort. As a key member of our Ski & Snowboard School, you will be responsible for teaching adult and children's lessons, promoting our resort programs, and providing exceptional guest service.

• Teach ski lessons to adults and children, adhering to established teaching standards and methods.
• Actively promote our resort programs and support positive guest relations at all times.
• Participate in ongoing resort and Ski & Snowboard School training to enhance your skills and knowledge.
• Attend department communication meetings to stay informed and contribute to team discussions.
• Adhere to all rules, regulations, and policies outlined in our Ski & Snowboard School Manual and Employee Handbook.
• Flexible working hours may be required, including some job sharing.

• Protect the safety of yourself, colleagues, and resort guests at all times.
• Report any potentially hazardous equipment or situations to your supervisor immediately.
• Report safety-related accidents and incidents to your supervisor promptly.
• Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures as outlined in our Occupational Safety & Health Compliance Manual and department-specific procedures.
• Operate equipment safely to avoid injury to yourself or others.
• Drive in accordance with the law and our resort policies.

To succeed in this role, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. You will need to demonstrate excellent guest service skills, be able to read and interpret documents, and write routine reports and correspondence.

• High school education or up to one month of related experience or training.
• Level 1 PSIA certification, current with clinic hours and paid dues.

This role requires regular standing, talking, and hearing. You will also need to walk, use your hands to handle equipment, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Skiing and snowboarding ability is essential.

You will work in an outdoor environment, regularly exposed to extreme cold and moderate noise levels.
