Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Air Export Forwarding Specialist to join our team at FedEx Logistics. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the timely movement of freight and cargo.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless logistics operations.
  • Prepare and submit accurate documentation to comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to transportation.
  • Anticipate and resolve issues that may delay the release or movement of freight.
  • Maintain relationships with correspondent brokers, transportation providers, and other service providers to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Resolve banking and letter of credit issues, advise customers on payment terms, and ensure accurate invoicing and vendor payments.
  • Complete accurate data input and corrections into computer files, develop rates and quotes for freight movement, and generate special reports to meet customer needs.
  • Ensure all communication with internal and external customers is timely and accurate.
  • Coordinate customer booking requests, set up new shippers, and assist with restricted articles submissions.
  • Complete import/export documentation in accordance with international trade regulations.
  • Engage with clients on billing disputes, shipment status, and developing new lanes and improving service.
  • Dispatch carriers to pick up freight at designated locations and track and trace shipments.
  • Work on iServe cases, coordinate oversized and out-of-gauge shipments, and handle hazardous materials shipments.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficient computer skills and strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of freight forwarding or logistics and working knowledge of air export regulations, banking requirements, and regulations regarding dangerous goods shipping.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in freight forwarding or logistics or work/field experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
