The Nursing Coordinator acts as a clinical authority for patient care and services within the assigned unit, offering leadership and support to nursing staff.

In this role, you will provide analytical and clinical assistance to nursing leadership, facilitating the planning and forecasting of patient care requirements based on quality benchmarks, patient acuity trends, staff educational needs, and patient satisfaction metrics.

You will lead initiatives to uphold excellence in nursing research, education, and practice.

The Nursing Coordinator is committed to delivering high-quality nursing care, aligning with the organization's mission of outstanding patient service and nursing's vision of establishing a new benchmark for autonomous and accountable nursing practice, focused on patient advocacy and innovative care within a culture of trust and collaboration.

This clinical leader will report directly to the Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate's degree in nursing required
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • Current Florida Nursing License is mandatory
  • ACLS and BLS certifications for healthcare providers are preferred
  • Professional certification from a recognized national organization is preferred

Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training:

  • Must maintain or exceed all specialty educational requirements
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English is essential

Experience:

  • A minimum of two years of professional nursing experience is required
  • Prior experience in a management role is preferred
  • Specific education and experience as required by the unit of employment
  • Demonstrated ability to practice nursing autonomously and accountably, with knowledge of patient care outcomes management
  • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills to enhance staff knowledge and application of evidence-based practices. Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes is essential
