**Role Overview:**

The Insurance Accounts Specialist plays a vital part in our mission to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to our patients. As a member of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payments from payors and patients, investigating discrepancies and identifying trends in claims aging, and communicating with various stakeholders in a professional manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and audit aging patient accounts to ensure accuracy and timeliness of payments
  • Investigate discrepancies and identify trends in claims aging
  • Communicate with payors, collection agencies, coworkers, and patients in a timely and professional manner
  • Verify and obtain necessary patient insurance and benefit coverage information
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues promptly

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of prior experience in a similar position (accounts receivable, insurance verification, electronic billing)
  • Proficiency in computer systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
