Job Summary
The Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill a tenure-track faculty position in Pharmacology/Toxicology. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the college's teaching, research, and clinical service goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach core, track, and elective DVM courses in Pharmacology/Toxicology
- Develop and lead an innovative, externally-funded independent research program
- Mentor undergraduate and graduate students
- Participate in college and university-level committees
- Contribute to clinical consultation responsibilities related to toxicants, drug-resistant infections, and drug-drug interactions
Requirements
- DVM or equivalent degree
- Board eligibility in Veterinary Clinical Pharmacology or Veterinary Toxicology
- Graduate degree in biomedical research (PhD or MS)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Diplomate of the American or European College of Veterinary Clinical Pharmacology
- Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Toxicology
- PhD in a biomedical science-related area
