About the Role:

The CNC Machine Operator Lead is responsible for overseeing the operation of CNC machines in a productive, high-quality, and safe manner. This includes loading bars into the machines, troubleshooting issues, and assisting Machine Operators on shift. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering drawings, metrology equipment, and quality control procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate production
  • Inspect parts using visual comparators, calipers, and other metrology equipment
  • Assign machines to operators based on their skill level and capabilities
  • Troubleshoot machines and bar feeders to maintain production efficiency
  • Support the team with inspections and quality control
  • Assist with operator training and development
  • Monitor and enforce company quality, job requirement, and safety policies

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with CNC machines and metal part production
  • Strong understanding of metrology equipment and quality control procedures
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications

Working Environment:

The CNC Machine Operator Lead will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, exposed to high pressure gas, heated and moving mechanical parts. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
