Sales Development Representative

A fast-growing leader in automotive retail, Group 1 Automotive, Inc. is a Fortune 300 company that owns and operates dealerships and collision centers in the United States and United Kingdom.

Job DescriptionAs a Telemarketing Representative at Group 1 Automotive, Inc., you will be responsible for handling inbound leads, contacting present customers to maintain and improve customer loyalty, developing a pipeline of sales and business opportunity leads through networking, cold calling, and referrals, working with the sales department to develop sales strategies and techniques, researching and staying current in consumer and industry trends, communicating industry news and trends to management and dealership employees, and providing outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities- Handle inbound leads (phone, internet) and direct to appropriate contact.
- Contact present customers (phone, email) to maintain and improve customer loyalty.
- Develop pipeline of sales and business opportunity (partnerships, etc.) leads through networking, cold calling, and referrals.
- Work with sales department to develop sales strategies and techniques.
- Research and stay current in consumer and industry trends.
- Communicate industry news and trends to management and dealership employees.
- Outstanding Customer Service.
- Auto dealership Internet or Business Development Center (BDC) experience is preferred.
- Proven sales experience.
- Superior communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent follow-through skills.
- Solid working knowledge of the Internet.
- Familiarity with automotive financing.
- Maintaining a positive, can-do attitude.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
