Performance Engineer Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Performance Engineer to join a top global consulting firm. This firm delivers innovative solutions through management consulting, technology, and design, as well as corporate and digital ventures.

The Performance Engineer will be part of a global agile team, responsible for introducing performance engineering practices and assisting product teams throughout the performance lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Windows system architecture, performance testing methodologies, and engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive performance testing and analysis to identify bottlenecks and issues affecting application and system performance on Windows platforms.
  • Develop and implement strategies for performance optimization, including code refinement, hardware upgrades, and configuration adjustments.
  • Collaborate with Product teams to integrate performance considerations into the Product development and release lifecycle.
  • Utilize performance monitoring tools and techniques to track application and system performance over time and identify areas for improvement.
  • Communicate any deficiencies of software, policies, and/or infrastructure to the appropriate team for resolution.
Requirements:
  • Experience with agile methodologies.
  • Minimum of 8 years of performance engineering experience, focusing on Windows-based applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows architecture, performance metrics, troubleshooting tools, and performance testing tools and methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience setting up and managing performance testing environments.
Benefits:

This role offers a competitive hourly rate of $55-$85, with benefits starting on the 31st day of employment, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching.

Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
