Property Management Associate

Position Overview:
The Property Management Associate will collaborate closely with the Property Manager to oversee the operations of an affordable housing community. In this role, you will engage with residents to address various matters such as rent collections, lease management, and tenant concerns. Additionally, you will ensure the property is well-maintained through regular inspections and coordination with maintenance personnel.

Classification:
Non-exempt (eligible for overtime)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily rent collection activities, including follow-ups with residents as necessary.
  • Manage the resident onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Conduct inspections of all units prior to new resident move-ins and following move-outs.
  • Collaborate with maintenance staff to oversee the management of work order requests.
  • Assist the Property Manager in executing annual unit inspections to ensure adherence to Tax Credit Regulatory standards.
  • Guarantee timely collection and completion of all annual resident certifications.
  • Process new resident move-in documentation.
  • Prepare Section 8 documentation for supervisor review.
Compensation:
Hourly rate between $23.00 and $26.00

Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience in Property Management, with familiarity in Section 8.
  • Prior supervisory experience is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of affordable housing regulations.
  • Experience in managing maintenance teams is a plus.
  • Understanding of annual certification processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Yardi software is preferred.
  • Familiarity with union interactions is beneficial.
  • High School diploma or GED; some college education is preferred.
