Residential Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Counselor to join our team at MAB Community Services. As a Residential Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing support to participants in cluster homes, promoting their personal growth and community membership.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support to participants, ensuring their needs are met and their goals are achieved.
- Collaborate with the Residential Coordinator and other team members to ensure a safe and clean home environment.
- Assist with data collection, progress notes, and assessments to implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs).
- Dispense medications, obtain vital signs, and administer treatments as per physicians' orders and MAP policy.
- Advocate effectively for participants, ensuring their choices, interests, and needs are supported and implemented.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree and/or related experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with participants, families, coworkers, and community professionals.
- Valid MA driver's license and ability to drive program vehicles and wheelchair vans.
- Frequent walking, standing, and driving; ability to maintain a high level of energy in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort with computers and ability to learn new reporting software.
