Job Summary

The Shift Manager - Operations Lead is responsible for supervising shifts and/or work areas in the operation of a Papa John's restaurant to ensure high-quality products and customer service are delivered to ensure restaurant profitability. This role involves the management of operations, including the execution of all Company policies, procedures, programs, and systems. Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and ethical business practices is also a key responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Quality and Customer Service
    • Adhere to guidelines, techniques, and expectations for each station, including dough management, accuracy, and proper portioning.
    • Perform assigned work station duties, such as making quality products, following all product preparation procedures, and maintaining established product holding times.
    • Consistently contribute to achieving the Company's product goal.
    • Commit to meeting the needs and expectations of the restaurant's customers, minimizing customer complaints, and responding appropriately to customer needs.
  • Shift Management and Operations
    • Ensure adequate shift coverage for the restaurant.
    • Provide immediate feedback and correct problems when identified.
    • Maintain product quality, customer service, and performance responsibilities within acceptable standards.
    • Follow all policies and procedures related to shift management.
  • Cash Management and Inventory Control
    • Contribute to profit goals by ensuring they stay within company guidelines and target goals by accurately utilizing the FOCUS System.
    • Execute cash management duties.
    • Assist in the management of adequate inventory levels using the company's systems and guidelines to minimize loss.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • High School diploma or GED preferred.
    • Must be 18+ years old.
    • Willing and able to work nights and weekends.
    • Serv-Safe/Local or State Food Service Certification preferred.
    • Previous restaurant shift lead experience preferred.
  • Skills
    • Cash management.
    • Planning and organization.
    • Effective communication.
