Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Contracts Manager to provide legal and strategic advice on commercial matters, including procurement decisions. The successful candidate will have experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements, and will be able to manage the contract lifecycle process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal and strategic advice on commercial matters, including procurement decisions
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements
  • Manage the contract lifecycle process, including contract review, negotiation, and execution
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the Supply Chain, Purchasing, Finance, and Sales Teams
  • Collaborate with other Legal Team colleagues on special projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in law, finance, business administration, or similar discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a contracts manager or equivalent with a medium to large company
  • Significant experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management software
  • Ability to work well across departments and strengthen company culture through effective collaboration

Location and Travel

This role may be based in Scout Motors' locations in Novi, MI, Columbia, SC, or McLean, VA. Applicants should expect that the role may require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and be able to travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.
