Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with client practice groups and individual practitioners
    • Act as primary contact for client communications and interactions related to insurance and patient receivables, billing, and collections
  • Account Management
    • Manage assigned client accounts, ensuring timely and accurate billing and collection processes
    • Monitor and perform ongoing assessments on follow-up of rejected claims and delinquent accounts
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare and analyze client statistics to identify problems or concerns
    • Research and resolve issues related to billing and collections
  • Meeting Coordination
    • Assist with or conduct planning and scheduling of client meetings
    • Follow up on items and reports requested during client meetings
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate custom billing and collection policies and procedures to Coronis Health staff and supervisors
    • Work with all Coronis Health staff in a professional, team-enhancing manner
  • Problem-Solving and Compliance
    • Understand and explain client pooled compensation formulas and billing fee methodologies
    • Interact with practice group audit/compliance committees regarding hardship discount requests and compliance audits
  • Contract Negotiation and Analysis
    • Review and negotiate managed care payor contracts for client groups
    • Analyze practice group managed care contracts for competitiveness and report on payor rate compliance
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in a physician billing office or medical insurance environment
  • Knowledge of insurance reimbursements/contracting and billing/appeal practices, managed care, and capitation practices
  • Anesthesia billing experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to prioritize and organize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints
  • Detail-oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook
