Responsibilities:
The Patient Advocate will:

  • Act as a liaison between patients, insurance providers, and medical offices.
  • Advocate for patients by persistently managing insurance claims.
  • Provide updates regarding benefits investigations related to members' financial responsibilities.
  • Utilize resourcefulness and emotional intelligence to identify challenges and collaborate on solutions.
  • Maintain a remote workspace equipped with high-speed internet and privacy.

Qualifications:
Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an emergency room, urgent care, or busy primary care environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience in patient communication, research, and documentation of insurance information.
  • Active, unrestricted license as a Medical Assistant (MA), EMT, Paramedic (EMT-P), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills, particularly in a healthcare setting.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.

Compensation:
The position offers a competitive pay range of $25/hr to $45/hr, commensurate with experience and licensure.
