Responsibilities:
The Patient Advocate will:
- Act as a liaison between patients, insurance providers, and medical offices.
- Advocate for patients by persistently managing insurance claims.
- Provide updates regarding benefits investigations related to members' financial responsibilities.
- Utilize resourcefulness and emotional intelligence to identify challenges and collaborate on solutions.
- Maintain a remote workspace equipped with high-speed internet and privacy.
Qualifications:
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an emergency room, urgent care, or busy primary care environment.
- At least 2 years of experience in patient communication, research, and documentation of insurance information.
- Active, unrestricted license as a Medical Assistant (MA), EMT, Paramedic (EMT-P), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Registered Nurse (RN).
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills, particularly in a healthcare setting.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
Compensation:
The position offers a competitive pay range of $25/hr to $45/hr, commensurate with experience and licensure.
