Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at Augusta Health. This role will provide administrative support to our staff and patients, ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to staff and patients, including answering phones, directing calls, and taking messages.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, such as copying, scanning, faxing, and emailing documents, as well as ordering and restocking supplies and forms.
  • Prepare, receive, sort, and distribute mail and other delivered items to providers and staff, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Maintain office equipment, identifying and addressing any issues with knowledge of repair processes.
  • Gather and enter patient and staff information, maintaining departmental records and files as directed.
  • Perform basic and advanced administrative functions, including composing and editing correspondence, processing and transcribing documents, and attending meetings to record and distribute minutes and notes.
  • Complete staff and patient scheduling duties, including maintaining and calculating statistical reports, and orienting employees on procedures and process improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff, providing excellent customer service and respecting the dignity of all patients while maintaining confidentiality.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Three to five years of administrative office support experience required.
  • Coding and billing experience/CPT knowledge preferred.
  • CHAA certification preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expert-level administrative support experience.
  • Strong understanding of general office routines and procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects with deadlines.
  • Effective customer service and relationship-building skills.
