Revenue Cycle Operations Specialist

Position Overview:
As a Revenue Cycle Operations Specialist, you will engage in various essential functions that encompass daily operational tasks, comprehensive reporting, analytical assessments, issue identification and resolution, as well as monitoring key performance indicators within the Revenue Cycle framework at Augusta Health. Your focus will be on revenue integrity, anticipated reimbursements, and payer oversight.
Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Preferred certifications from recognized organizations such as AAHAM, AAPC, HFMA, or other esteemed revenue cycle associations.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in revenue cycle management is essential.
- In-depth knowledge of third-party and governmental billing and collection methodologies is crucial.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required for effective interaction across all organizational levels, including clinical staff, colleagues, payer representatives, and administrative personnel.
- Proficiency in utilizing various computer applications, including health systems HIS, CMNavigator, Syntellis Contract Management, and AccuReg, is necessary.
- Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate self-motivation is essential.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills are vital.
- Excellent time management abilities are required.
- Recognized as a subject matter expert in the field.
- Exceptional organizational skills are necessary.
- A foundational understanding of healthcare billing, charge development, reimbursement processes, and healthcare financial management is important.
- Awareness of healthcare regulatory and compliance matters, particularly regarding Medicare, is beneficial.
