Part-Time Direct Care Staff

FRONT ST MASTER is seeking a Part-Time Direct Care/Unlicensed Nursing Staff to join our team.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide direct care and support to our residents. As a Part-Time Direct Care/Unlicensed Nursing Staff, you will be responsible for assisting residents with daily living activities, providing emotional support, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Key Responsibilities- Encourage residents to participate in and assist with self-care skills and program activities.
- Observe and report any changes in residents' behavior, physical, and psychiatric symptoms or complaints to the Desk Nurse and/or Unit Coordinator.
- Assist residents with preparing for appointments, discharge, or transfer, and escort them as assigned.
- Notify residents of meals and snacks, and prompt them to participate in groups, outings, and walks.
- Assist with perineal care, including changing clothes, sheets, and assisting with bowel and bladder retraining, providing or assisting with baths or showers as needed, and providing or assisting with skin care for prevention of skin breakdown.
- Maintain shower logs and provide support to residents to ensure they shower at a minimum of every 3 days.
- Document weights, vital signs, head counts, meal logs, special need rounds, and other information as assigned.
- Assist with meal service, report incidents to the U.C./Desk Nurse, and assist nurses during medication pass.
- Monitor smoking times, attend orientation and in-service as required, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Work cooperatively with other departments, perform other duties as assigned, and treat residents as individuals, be respectful, foster self-esteem, and independence.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- High School graduate or possess a General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Be willing to gain a minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience, or its part-time equivalent, working in a mental health program serving persons with severe and persistent mental disabilities.
