Job Summary

As a Store Manager in Training at O'Reilly Auto Parts, you will play a key role in the success of our stores. You will assist the store manager in areas of sales, appearance, and overall operations of the store. Your objective will be to receive hands-on training, preparing you for a management position in another store or future location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the professional and retail operations of the store and team members involved.
  • Responsible for supervising work performed by all team members assigned to the store/HUB store.
  • Train new team members assigned to you.
  • Handle team member performance evaluations and recommend pay increases for these individuals.
  • Support the store manager by working with the assistant management team to ensure safety compliance and that all team members receive appropriate training in all areas.
  • Make sales calls with/without the store manager.
  • Support the store manager in area of store operations as assigned.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of delivery fleet and maintain records for each vehicle.
  • Ensure staff is keeping the store/HUB store neat, clean and organized at all times.
  • Learn to utilize the electronic scheduling and timekeeping system and the payroll entry functions.
  • Learn to manage key components of gross profit.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program
  • Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately.
  • Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems.
