Park Operations Technician

Position Overview:
The Recreation Site Technician plays a vital role in the management and operation of state park facilities. This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth daily operations of the park, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining the park's natural and recreational resources.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the administration of the park's educational and interpretive programs.
2. Engage with visitors by providing information, collecting fees, and selling merchandise.
3. Conduct light maintenance and janitorial tasks to uphold park standards.
4. Patrol the park to ensure compliance with regulations and assist in enforcement when necessary.
5. Monitor park conditions and report any hazards to the supervisor.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent education is required.
- Preferred experience in park management or a related field.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and handle physical labor in various weather conditions.

Additional Information:
This position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to lift and carry heavy objects. Candidates must also pass a background investigation. The State of Montana encourages applications from individuals of diverse backgrounds.
