Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Ice Technician and Supervisor to join our team at ASM Global. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and maintenance of our facility ice floor for all hockey practices, games, and other ice events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the installation of ice, including freezing the floor, painting the base color, lines, and logos, and building up the ice sheet.
  • Prepare the ice for all practices, games, and other ice events, including removing debris, checking ice depth, scraping, edging, and resurfacing the ice.
  • Operate and maintain the ice-resurfacer and ice-edger.
  • Repair and build ice as needed.
  • Monitor temperature and humidity levels of the facility.
  • Ability to properly operate, maintain, and drive a Zamboni.
  • Keep maintenance and operational logs of plant and ice operations equipment.
  • Operate and maintain the refrigeration plant.
  • Maintain inventory as needed and assist with general related maintenance of the building in between games and ice events.
  • Oversee and direct employees who assist with installation and maintenance of ice.
  • Assist in planning, directing, and coordinating of set up activities consistent with facility standards.
Requirements
  • At least one year of experience with ice floors and related equipment.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of ice rink and dasher systems, refrigeration systems, and control systems required.
  • Knowledge and experience in operation of ice maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Current driver's license required.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office software.
