Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Ice Technician and Supervisor to join our team at ASM Global. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of our ice rink, ensuring that it is in excellent condition for all events and activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the installation and maintenance of ice floors, including freezing, painting, and resurfacing.
  • Prepare ice for all practices, games, and other events, including removing debris, checking ice depth, and scraping and edging the ice.
  • Operate and maintain the ice-resurfacer and ice-edger.
  • Repair and build ice as needed.
  • Monitor temperature and humidity levels of the facility.
  • Ability to properly operate, maintain, and drive a Zamboni.
  • Keep maintenance and operational logs of plant and ice operations equipment.
  • Operate and maintain refrigeration plant.
  • Maintain inventory as needed.
  • Assist with general related maintenance of the building in between games and ice events.
  • Oversee and direct employees who assist with installation and maintenance of ice.
  • Assist in planning, directing, and coordinating of set up activities consistent with facility standards.
Requirements
  • At least one year of experience with ice floors and related equipment.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of ice rink and dasher systems, refrigeration systems, and control systems required.
  • Knowledge and experience in operation of ice maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Current driver's license required.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office software.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed. They will also be required to climb steps and walk extensively throughout the facility, and to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
