**Job Summary**
Trinity Industries is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Entry Mobile Repair Technician. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting railcar inspections, performing repairs, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct thorough inspections of railcars to identify any defects or issues.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks as necessary to ensure railcars are in good working condition.
- Meet customer expectations by delivering high-quality service and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Accurately complete invoicing, inspection, and work order information.
- Pass required NDT disciplines and function-specific certifications, including tank car welding.
- Stay up-to-date with AAR rules and regulations.
- Participate in safety assessments and equipment inspections.
- Work in confined spaces and from elevated heights as required.
- Perform confined space monitoring and create hot work permits.
- Follow all safety rules and practices.
- May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
- May be required to have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Complete all required on-board training in safety and quality.
**Requirements:**
- Ability to learn major railcar components and basic functions.
- Work under the direct supervision of a Career Mobile Technician or higher position to perform specific repair processes.
- Use hand tools such as hammers, torches, wrenches, hydraulic jacks, pneumatic tools, and others as required.
- May be required to obtain specialized qualification and training in one of the following: Air Brake Testing, Welding, Gasket Valves and Fasteners, BLTII, PTII, VTII, Qualified Coating Applicator, Qualified Coating Inspector, Qualified Abrasive Blaster, or other qualifications as applicable.
- Any type of welding/Valve/mechanical experience or railcar knowledge is preferred.
- Valid Driver's License (Motor Vehicle Report will be reviewed).
