Key Responsibilities

The Senior Financial Analyst will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will be tasked with overseeing the financial management of the company. This role encompasses a variety of essential functions, including:

  • Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring real-time updates.
  • Monitoring cash flow and engaging in strategic financial planning.
  • Conducting thorough analyses of the company's financial performance, identifying strengths and weaknesses.
  • Preparing detailed financial reports for management review and decision-making.
  • Providing insights into the overall financial health of the organization.
Essential Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Acting as the primary accounting representative, managing daily financial transactions with integrity.
  • Driving the accounting system and facilitating financial planning processes.
  • Performing risk assessments related to the organization’s financial liabilities and investments.
  • Evaluating and managing the capital structure of the company.
  • Ensuring adequate cash flow to support operational needs.
  • Preparing reliable forecasts based on input from the management team and conducting cost-benefit analyses.
  • Overseeing job costing processes and ensuring accuracy in financial entries.
  • Establishing and managing the finance/accounting IT systems.
  • Ensuring compliance with legal standards and company policies, particularly in taxation matters.
  • Collaborating with the Accounts Receivable/Payroll Clerk and Accounts Payable/Customer Service teams.
  • Managing payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate job costing.
  • Tracking corporate initiatives and their financial implications.
  • Working closely with senior management to drive the company’s long-term success.
  • Focusing on compliance and quality control, providing insights for process improvements.
  • Developing the company’s budget and reporting variances.
  • Engaging with banking and insurance partners.
  • Evaluating new investment opportunities and capital expenditures.
  • Managing HR functions and improving documentation processes.
Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • A solid work history demonstrating reliability and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and forecasting methods.
  • Expertise in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Excellent accounting skills; CPA certification is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • An analytical mindset with a comfort level in working with numbers.
  • A collaborative spirit and a positive, energetic attitude.
