Job Summary

By Light Professional IT Services is seeking a highly motivated DevSecOps Automation Engineer to support the development, operation, and maintenance of DevSecOps processes, tools, and automation pipelines for an emerging Cyber training program for the Department of Defense (DOD).

Key Responsibilities
  • Support traditional application software development, integration of third-party applications, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts and software.
  • Provide overarching technical support for development teams, resulting in a cohesive, functional system that is maintainable and deployable across various connected and disconnected environments.
  • Ensure the DevSecOps environment facilitates designing, implementing, deploying, and executing automated tests, and continually investigates new technologies to improve productivity, quality, ease of use, and maintenance.
  • Collect, process, and present information and metrics to show automation improvements or degradations over time.
  • Balance hybrid cloud distribution between private clouds, corporate infrastructure, and public clouds.
Requirements
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as computer science or information technology from an accredited college or university.
  • 3+ years of related professional work experience.
  • Experience implementing DevSecOps, DevOps, or IT or Security automation supporting multiple teams.
  • Knowledge of and ability to implement DevSecOps using private and commercial cloud best practices.
  • Strong experience with the Linux OS.
  • Experience with private and hybrid cloud design/operation/monitoring/deployment: VMware vCenter and ESXi, Kubernetes, and Amazon Web Services.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with DevSecOps and related technologies.
  • Ability to manage enterprise web services.
  • Effective interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Professionally convey system-wide performance information routinely via tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Jira, Confluence, etc.

Security Clearance Requirements: U.S. Citizenship status with ability to obtain a SECRET to TOP SECRET security clearance.
