Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer to join our team at Cole Engineering Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in designing, orchestrating, automating, documenting, standardizing, deploying, and managing a modern software platform infrastructure that operates in a hybrid (public/private) cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the full stack development and deployment of platform services that enable DevSecOps, CI/CD, and highly scalable application infrastructure
  • Support the design, installation, and operation of a broad array of platform services for development, operations, and execution
  • Utilize Infrastructure as Code tools to automate the deployment of the overarching system and support DevSecOps functions for application software
  • Work as part of a fast-moving, highly diverse team across multiple projects simultaneously
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to work within a team to design, implement, deploy, and sustain complex platform infrastructure in a hybrid private/public cloud environment
  • Must be skilled with Kubernetes application configuration, deployments, networking, storage, and infrastructure
  • Must be able to author and maintain scripts in a variety of languages, and utilize Infrastructure as Code tools and concepts to the greatest extent practical
  • Must be skilled with Linux system administration
  • Must have a functional knowledge of identity management and SSO architectures and tools
  • Must have a functional knowledge of modern PKI infrastructures and solutions
  • Must assure system stability, accessibility, and proper configuration of assigned technical systems and components
Additional Requirements
  • Apply software-centric DevOps functions to a large-scale hybrid cloud environment
  • Analyze hardware and software functionality for proper operation and improvement
  • Identify, locate, resolve, and repair problems within platform architecture
  • Document and present performance records and results
  • Document problems/issues via IT ticketing system/tracking log
  • Review and update all information security management system process and procedures (data/software)
Education and Experience

An Associate or Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as computer science or information technology from an accredited college or university is required. Five years of work experience is preferred. Security+ and/or CISSP certifications are required, or must be completed within four months of hire.

Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. Citizenship status and a Secret security clearance, with an ability to obtain a TS/SCI. Security Clearance requirements will be specified in the Government's Task Order.
