Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our Division in pursuit of growth, increased profitability, and exceptional customer experience. As a steward of Pioneer's corporate values and The Pioneer Way, you'll be responsible for planning, allocating resources, and ensuring operational performance, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning: Collaborate with the Business Unit Leader and Operations to develop divisional plans, strategies, and budgets.
  • Decision Making/Judgment: Review and adjust the organization to ensure resources are allocated for daily performance and long-term success.
  • Deliver Results: Measure and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including safety, delivery, quality, cost, compliance, and more.
  • Directing: Manage all operations functions through managers, supervisors, and team leaders.
  • Leading: Provide leadership to all Division employees, promoting the mission, values, and fundamentals of the company.
  • Controlling: Ensure customer requirements are met, corporate policy is followed, and action plans are completed on time and within budget.
  • Development: Coach, teach, and mentor employees to facilitate their long-term development, career path alignment, and bench strength for future growth opportunities.
Requirements
  • 7-10 years of strong leadership experience in a labor-intensive production/manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a Plant/Operations Management role.
  • Experience in metal finishing a plus but not required.
  • Experience in Labor Management, Quality, Lean, and Continuous Improvement in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on collaborative leadership style.
  • Ability to hold teams accountable and provide feedback.
  • Strong presence and proven success motivating a workforce.
  • Previous experience creating a vision, setting goals, holding teams accountable, and driving results.
  • High sense of urgency.
  • Physical demands may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, etc.
  • Previous success managing in a continuously changing environment.
  • Previous experience evaluating performance and developing future leaders.
  • Financial acumen: prior Profit and Loss Accountability.
  • Desire for future growth and responsibilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Operations, Engineering, or other related field strongly desired.
  • Greenbelt Certification strongly desired.
