Position Overview:

The Event Sales Specialist will assist in managing group sales, including catering services, event spaces, and banquet facilities under the guidance of the Senior Sales Manager. This role will focus on markets such as social, military, educational, religious, and fraternal (SMERF) events, birthday celebrations, and corporate gatherings during peak periods. The Specialist will advocate for clients to ensure successful event execution.
Considerations: The Event Sales Specialist will have flexible hours as determined by the Senior Sales Manager, which may include weekends and evening events. Some local travel for trade shows may also be required.

This is a full-time hourly position with comprehensive benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to inquiries via phone, in-person visits, and online related to the booking process.
  • Coordinate effectively with internal teams including sales, operations, and culinary departments.
  • Prepare sales-related documentation throughout the sales cycle (e.g., proposals, contracts, banquet event orders).
  • Meet with prospective clients in the absence of Sales Managers.
  • Conduct site tours for potential clients.
  • Submit group bookings in the CE system.
  • Ensure the highest quality of product and service delivery.
  • Design, upload, extract, and maintain customer databases.
  • Generate daily sales reports for the Senior Sales Manager.
  • Ensure all sales department documents (e.g., BEOs, contracts, rooming lists, proposals) are completed accurately and punctually.
  • Close all paperwork in the Reserve system.
  • Support the marketing team with administrative tasks as needed.

Additional duties may be assigned by the Director of Sales or management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Availability to work varying days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
