Job Summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, including troubleshooting and diagnosing issues.
  2. Install, test, and commission new electrical equipment and systems.
  3. Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure optimal system performance.
  4. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other facility systems.
  5. Conduct regular inspections and testing to identify potential issues and prevent downtime.
  6. Develop and maintain documentation of electrical systems, including diagrams, schematics, and maintenance records.
  7. Provide training and guidance to junior technicians and other staff members on electrical systems and procedures.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in electrical maintenance and repair.
Requirements
  1. 7+ years of experience in electrical maintenance and repair.
  2. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field preferred.
  3. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and electrical equipment.
  4. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  5. Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  6. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  7. Ability to lift 100 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Abilities
  1. Lifts at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period of time.
  2. Relocates a 12-foot stepladder without assistance.
  3. Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders.
  4. Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls, and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
  5. Possesses good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
  6. May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
