Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Administrator to join our team at Wayne State University. This role requires a high level of financial management and administrative skills to oversee the daily operations of a large department.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and coordinate financial activities, including budget planning and execution, financial reporting, and payroll processing.
  • Serve as a liaison between departments and external organizations, representing the university with full decision-making authority.
  • Supervise and train staff members on administrative policies and procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
  • Considerable knowledge of accounting procedures and practices.
  • Experience with university administrative systems, including FMS/BAR, HRMS, PPS, GBS, etc.
Salary and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $52,400 - $62,877 per annum. In addition, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
