Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Flow Coordinator to join our team at Novant Health. As a liaison between Nursing, Patient Access, and various departments, you will play a critical role in ensuring the prompt and accurate placement/assignment of patients into a bed/unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Nursing and other clinical departments to determine the best placement of patients based on their clinical needs and the availability of services.
  • Act as a liaison between departments to resolve issues affecting efficient patient flow throughout the facility.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize bed utilization and reduce patient wait times.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree, preferred. BSN preferred.
  • 2 years experience, required. Previous leadership and bed utilization experience is preferred.
  • Current RN license, required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, high level of problem solving and critical thinking skills to find solutions to difficult human, technical, clinical or administrative problems.
