About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Architect I to join our team at Clark Nexsen. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality architectural projects that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement design concepts for architectural projects, ensuring they meet the client's requirements and our firm's design excellence standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop project specifications, compile and analyze relevant data, and write reports and specifications.
  • Review and finalize project reports, plans, estimates, and calculations, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Participate in project design phases, including programming, concept development, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
  • Develop design sketches, renderings, models, graphics, presentation materials, analysis, and construction drawings and schedules.
  • Communicate and engage with clients, owners, users, team members, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to achieve project objectives.
  • Mentor junior design staff in their professional development and contribute to office activities, initiatives, and continuous learning.
Requirements
  • Professional degree from an NAAB-accredited Architecture program.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience as an architect.
  • Fully licensed Architect in at least one US state.
  • Additional accreditations supporting our firm's commitment to design and continued personal growth (LEED AP, WELL, etc.) will be given special consideration.
  • Physical model building experience and proficiency in design, modeling, and graphic software (Revit, Rhino, Enscape, Adobe Creative Cloud, and/or similar applications).
  • Commitment to sustainable design principles and interest in achieving accreditation in LEED AP, WELL AP, and/or Green Globes.
