Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as a part-time non-tenure-track faculty member in the School of Architecture. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching architecture studios at all levels, including advanced comprehensive studios and/or special topic seminar courses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach architecture studios at all levels, including advanced comprehensive studios and/or special topic seminar courses.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the School of Architecture's mission and goals.
  • Provide guidance and support to students in the design process.
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in architecture education.
Requirements
  • Accredited professional degree in architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) with professional practice in architecture.
  • Terminal Master's degree in a field relevant to the specific area of instruction (i.e. landscape architecture, history, structural engineering) with professional practice in that related field.
  • Demonstrated ability or aptitude in the areas specific to the courses to be taught.
  • Demonstrated potential for directing activities specific to the courses to be taught.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in departmental and University affairs.
  • Demonstrated leadership in the professional field and community.
  • Demonstrated professional or scholarly competency with a mix of traditional and leading-edge technologies and methods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional license to practice architecture strongly preferred for all studio instructors.
  • Experience in teaching at the college level is preferred.
